computer doesn’t turn on
A bad power supply is a common problem I run across when repairing computers. While generally this is an easy fix, experience will prevent mistakes and the correct diagnosis.
Symptoms of a Bad Power Supply
The computer won’t turn on or the computer turns on then immediately off. Some dell computer will display an amber light on the power supply.
Open the computer, try re-seating the connections. Test the power supply with a multimeter.
Replace power supply with same or higher output.
