  1. Run rkill.com
  2. Install Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware and run a full scan.
  3. Remove the found infections.
  4. Run a command windows, CMD and type the following:
    cacls c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts /G everyone:f
  5. Press enter.
  6. Type the following:
    attrib -s -h -r c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
  7. Press enter.
  8. Delete the C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\HOSTS file.
  9. Open notepad and paste test below into file named hosts located in the same directory.

5. Make sure to update the computer with the latest windows updates.

Open Internet Explorer

  1. Click Tools
  2. Internet Options
  3. Click connections tab and then the lan settings button
  4. Uncheck all boxes
  5. Click apply and ok
  6. reboot
  7. run quick scan again to make sure there are no infections
